3 stars The tale of a great 2/3 of an album.

I first got into Agitation Free through their live album At The Cliffs Of River Rhine 18 months ago. I liked that album and purchased everything I could find from Agitation Free. I have learned to love this band.

Last is their first live album. It contains three songs. Two of them are great. One of them are only decent. The opener Soundpool is almost too short. I would love to hear more improvisations over the main theme. The second track Laila II though delivers what I regard is the DNA profile of Agitation Free. Long guitar and bass runs improvised over the main theme. A truly excellent seventeen minutes and this band in a nutshell. The final track Looping takes a long time to develop. And when it does, it does not deliver at all. A disappointment.

In short, 2/3 of this album is great. But Looping drags this album down to a merely good album.
