5 stars Having listened to this album 3 times so far. This is an album that makes you listen, ( as i did. Here are my thoughts.

BunChakeze" That first instrumental piece, is quite short, it lets everyone do their bit. No one really takes the lead, just all the band play. I love the bursts of bass and guitar. It has dynamic flourishes that get the whole thing started.

"Whose Dream" The title track is a slower song with almost pleading vocals, ask "Whose dream are you dreaming".- the etherial middle section of the track, takes you into the dream. The guitar screams in, and takes the track on to another level. I like this.

"Walk in Paradise" Low synthesizer opens this track. moving into crashing drums and wild guitars . Vocal comes in "Constant motion trickles through the hour glass, grain by grain you can watch the moments passing" but soon the music moves on , with tempo changes. The instrumental parts are piano and electric guitar interplay. This song makes you listen all the way through.

"Handful of Rice" In "Handful of Rice," you feel something of Genesis theatrics, mysterious sounding lyrics, talks of the contents of Pandoras box. Some nice sounding electric guitar and percussion, with vocal interplay. You could put a great Video to this track.

"Flight of the Phoenix" Acoustic guitar starts gently . "Glowing lanterns light the way" The song moves on gradually, more intensity as the rest of the band enters, and once again the lead guitar is amazing- the instrumental section Floydian in it's content. this is a story song, not quite sure about what though..

"Midnight Skies" "Midnight Skies" is another story. About the American west by the sound of the lyrics, "14000 red men", and "great white father says you must conform". this track has an almost reggae feel at the start, and does not really move from that feel. The middle section has a mock battle in it ( nice touch). At the end an almost dreamy fade to the words "under midnight skies" a very pleasing piece. My favourite track.

"Long Distance Runner" This song starts with nice, electric almost accoustic guitar, Everyone in on the riff, including the vocals. The chorus brings in slightly more melodic feel, middle section slide guitar and nice piano, drum and bass play at each other again dreamy feel. then it takes a turn towards stabs in the instrumentation and vocal. Then it's back to the melodic chorus, and instrumental outro. Another great piece..

"The Deal" " "Run Like Hell" rhythm guitar chugging and shimmering along). dark lyrics. this song has you almost running along with it. And There are no drums in it. A must to listen to on headphones. It runs around in your head. A masterpiece, in musical imagery.

"Whose Dream" (reprise instrumental)" The album closes with the title track in music form. The faster part of the song. This gets in your head very quickly.

There are parts of this album that you can't find a reference for, (does not remind you of anyone) surely this is a good thing. This is an Album that should be in your collection.
