I'm not going to say a lot about COSMIC CIRCUS MUSIC, a trio from Germany who managed to release a cassette back
in the day of this long 45 plus minute track. There was an archival release of this track back in 2013 which included a
live version of this long song featuring flautist Tim Blebe of XOHL CARAVAN. He's not on this studio version as shown
here on the site. These three musicians lived the commune life together with the focus on the music. They were a few
years late as far as their "sound" goes, but this went over quite well in a live setting.Besides Tim Belbe, Friedemann Josch from MISSUS BEASTLY and EMBRYO also used to jam with them live. These guys just liked to jam endlessly which worked quite well when your audience is stoned out of their minds, but as a piece of music this is painfully samey and trippy. They had thought about going back into the studio by 1974 or so but musical differences caused the band to split. The drummer who had this synth setup(pre-set) for live shows wanted to explore electronics more, but the guitarist wanted to go further in the rock direction. And so the band split up. The archival release from 2013 is the only way to buy this recording these days and at 82 minutes it's a very long repetitive listen. This trio gets a lot of props from music fans who appreciate their skills, but again this is just all so laid back and vanilla sounding. Background music.
