3 stars 3.5 stars. I was always on the fence about their true debut from 2008 "Il Viaggio Di Colombo" but bumped it to 4 stars. My feelings for this one are very similar except I'm not rounding up this time. "Dedalo E Lcaro" is from 2013 and we get the same lineup as that previous record, except they've increased to a six piece here adding another guitarist. The sound quality here needs to be mentioned. It is crystal clear, and when they amp it up, it all sounds so good. Great production.

The five minute opener is pretty good except I do not like when it kicks in each time with vocals. "La Promessa" at 9 minutes gets too ballad-like early on with the fragile vocals and piano. Thankfully it builds from there. We get the exact same thing with the closer with the ballad-like sound and mellow singing. It also builds to better results, although the smooth sax I could do without. The multi-vocals on "Oggi Volero" are disappointing but the rest is good, especially the mellotron. And the one track I have no issues with is "Una Nuova Realta". This is powerful with keys over top for the most part.

My opinion is that if you want to get one album by this band, get 2017's "Il Fuoco Sotto La Cenere". What was it about that year? The collapse came in 2019 with Covid. And how cool is it to have a rhythm section manned by the Terribile brothers.
