3 stars Without Warning's first two CDs were released only in Japan initially, but from this one here there has been a re-release in 2003 with 2 bonus tracks as shown here. My review is referring to the original release without bonus. Without Warning was a ProgMetal-outfit led by Ted Burger (guitar) and Jack Bielata (vocals). Bielata's voice might need a few listens to get used to it, as well their music is not quite catchy and rather intricate, thus not everyone's favorite right from the beginning. But I just can say that it's really worthwhile to give it a few spins, since their songs are revealing great keyboards and guitars along with a powerful rhythm section. References one could give are Fates Warning or Queensryche, although they don't sound like any of these bands. Best songs are What, In My Name, Far From Eden, Envisioned and Believe , but actually there is not any really weak one.

Highly recommended for fans of Dream Theater, Vanden Plas, Fates Warning, and Poverty's No Crime!
