I really thought that the wonderful Ayreon experience would be THE cd of 2004. And then I read a enthousiast review and gave a try to Abydos. And... Welll I've listened to a hundred or so metal cd's this year and this is THE ONE. The one and only. Simply awesome. Pure class. Progressive symphonic metal at its very best. It's refreshing to note that Abydos does not want to be another excellent clone of Dream Theater. He is Abydos and everyone should note the name by now. By the way, I'm afraid that Vandenplas is in real danger now.
