3 stars If this was on any other site, I would give it a 5. However; it is on a progrock site. Alas, i can only give it a 3 on here.

The Bends is definately not as unique as later Radiohead albums. In fact the sound is quite ordinary compared to OK Computer. But despite that, it is still an outstanding album. It can be listened to straight through unlike a lot of Radiohead Albums. Even OK Computer has a song or two that I can't help but skip. The Bends starts off with the moderate tempo of Planet Telex which leads into the great title track. The album alternates between slower acoustic tracks like High & Dry and rocking songs like Bones. The Bends closes with Street Spirit which shows the band's musical brilliance. This album is much more accessible than most of Radiohead's works so it's a good place to start out with Radiohead.
