4 stars Let me first start off by mentioning that im not the biggest prog rock or Peter Gabriel fan in the world... yet after studying this album for my Music Technology A-Level (alongside Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon) i can easily say that this has personally been one of the most interesting albums to discover. For the past year i've spent a lot of time listening to the album and disecting every little peice of it.

The albums itself is a carefully created, retrospective look on the word us, and even more specifically his previous marriage. All the way through, Peter references the different parts of his marriage through the good times and the bad, written using poetic words and metaphores to explain such feelings and experiances.

I feel that this album is a progressive, rock, album; combining modern western music with a wide variety of world music themes, subtle melodies and strong rythmic features to create intristic, powerfull and pationate songs.

All in all, great songs, great music, great production. "kiss that frog" isnt too bad....
