I agree with everyone who said this should not be the starting point if you are new to Opeth. While it is a great album, it is Opeth's worst. But Opeth's worst is up there with the best of most bands out there these days. The opener "In the Mist She was Standing" is a good solid epic song, that Opeth would easily later top. "Under the Weeping Moon" isn't much to talk about. It is good, but it's nothing great. "Forest of October" is a hella solid song and so is "The Twilight is my Robe" which is my favorite song on the album. "The Apostle in Triumph" is also a good solid track with a cool intro that was actually supposed to be the end of "Requiem", but due to a studio mishap was the intro to that song.

Good album, good buy, but Opeth would later top it.
