4 stars "The Best & The Rest Of Atomic Rooster" is an interesting 10 track bedget price compilation by Action Replay Records and sond very good if you search a compilation for an introduction to Rooster world and Heavy Prog. Also for who search the origin of Heavy Metal this compilation is good. At the same time this compilation is not representing all facets of the Rooster, since there is no trace of Chris Farlowe. In a correct view I do not think that the "..Rest Of..." part of title is correct because these songs repesent "The Best..." part of Rooster compilation. And, still, in a correct view this compilation is poor, because too unrepresentative of the Rooster, just looking for more Prog music side, leaving the aspects most Heavy Metal of Rooster music. Songs as "Winter" (a great piano ballad), "Breakthrough", "DEcision/ Indecision", "Devil's Answer", "Black Snake", "Head In The Sky" and "Tomorrow Night" are Prog evergreen. But, for the correct view, "The Best & The Rest Of Atomic Rooster is not a collectionable compilation if you are not a Rooster fan.
