5 stars I think this is probably my favorite Heep album, although its a hard call between this and the Magician's Birthday. It starts off with the Wizard, a great acoustical ballady opener. Great catchy upbeat acoustic riffs, and great vocals. Then comes Traveller in Time, another fantastic song, heavier this time, with great wah- metal guitar and great vocals and lyrics. Easy Livin, Heep's best known track, is deserving of the title, with great heavy metal guitar and organ lines and great catchy lyrics and melodies, although it is very short. Poet's Justice is probably the least memorable song on the album, but it is still good. Circle of Hands is a great atmospheric, uplifting song.

Side Two starts off with Rainbow Demon, one of my alltime favorite Heep songs. Featuring great atmospheric heavy metal guitar riffs and organ riffs, and insanely awesome lyrics and vocals, its almost impossible not to like this song. All my Life is the worst song on the album, because it is one of those straight up rock'n'roll song with generic lyrics. Its not terrible though, but it will get stuck in your head for some reason. Paradise/the Spell is a great little epic. Great riffs, great vocals, great lyrics, great everything. Catchy castchy stuff.

This album from Heep is quite good, featuring songs which range from light hearted ballads (the Wizard, Circle of Hands), to heavy metal songs (Traveller in Time, Rainbow Demon, Easy Livin) to epic prog stuff (Paradise/the Spell). A must have album for any hard prog rock fan.
