ELEMENTS: THE ISLAND ANTHOLOGY

Excellent set of CD's from a groundbreaking duo, who experimented with many idioms including rock, jazz, Phillip Glass-type repetitive ambience, oriental chording and other idioms now-popularized through World music. A very cerebral two CD set which included all four of their Island Record studio releases. The quality of the remasters are suspect (especially in the first part of the second CD). But as an introduction to mid-70's proto-downtempo acoustic material, this set is second to none.
