LES CONCERTS EN CHINE

Without a shadow of a doubt Jarre's best live release, though the lack of "Oxygene" material here, the other tracks are all well performed and Jarre adds several interesting twists to them. "Concerts In China" also features several new tracks; among them are classics such as "Orient Express" and "Fishing Junks at Sunset". The latter one is still used on Jarre's live shows, but this version is definetly the most perfect one. Jarre was one of the first international artists to get allowed to perform in China, which makes this album even more interesting, but the most important here is the music, of course. The "Magnetic Fields" album is nearly performed in it's entirely here too, and most of "Equinoxe" is present here, as well as the first appearance of the famous Laser Harp, and and all tracks is great sounding here, maybe even better than the studio cuts at times. A perfect album for me, and one of my favorite Jarre albums, as well as one of my absolute favorite live albums as well. 5/5
