5 stars Simply the best poet to hit the rock world. Together with Don Van Vliet a 100% artist at the cost of everything else in his life. The only song on the album that has weak lyrics is Golden Hair & that was written by James Joyce. If you like true art in prog music you'll love this music. Be warned though the lyrics are real & the anguish they are sung with are only too real. This is mature music so if you're if you're looking for posing pop rubbish then forget it. The tracks are all quite short & to a certain extent feel incomplete. It's almost as though he was an artist with limitless talent who's so damaged he could only grab at small pieces of his genius. The agony he went through must have been horrendous. Long Gone is a song referring to the fact he'll never be loved again. Dark Globe is about the other members of Pink Floyd rejecting him.
