This is the 3rd album by this eighties Japanese symphonic group. Their style is perhaps a little more theatrical compared to the other Japanese groups of the same era. I think the best part of this band is the great violin work and the very good guitar as well even though it is not so evident as the violin. The vocals are in English and not really the best ones there is. The vocals do prevent at least my enjoyment a little and I like the instrumental parts more. Luckily, the vocals are in minority.

All tracks are quite good but I especially like the instrumental "Platonic Syndrome" and the 20-minute title track. The cd version includes a bonus track "Pteridophyte". Actually, the opener "Marionnette's Lament" isn't an original album track either.

Conclusion: This is a very good album.
