4 stars After the soft and mellow Hold Your Fire Alex said "Hey I'm still here and i wanna riff on these songs" and oh boy did he. Presto is the start of a more heavy sounding Rush with more guitar and less keyboards. Songs like Show Don't Tell and Superconductor showed us that Rush could still rock but this album still had mellow tracks like Scars, Presto and Available Light. Surprisingly there is a good deal of piano on the later tracks like Anagram (For Mongo) and Red Tide. But overall, this album is very good and showed a new direction for Rush heading into the 90s. 4 and a half stars. Highlights: Show Don't Tell, Chain Lightning, The Pass, War Paint, Scars, Presto, Superconductor, Red Tide and Hand over Fist.
