The production of Mike Oldfield is very unequal. Inaudible things like "Heaven' s Open" (I always wondered whether the Michael of this album were really Mike or a distant cousin). And materpieces like the "Tubullar Bells". "The songs of Distant Earth" is in the same line. Very new age. But also very "science fiction" (I like it). How not to rove in stars with such a music. The work of prouction is neat. The melodies are true hoodoo. A splendid (very original) album.
