The Truth
4 stars One of those albums that leaves you with a great impression from first listen, 6LA8 is a little-known band that shouldn't be so little-known. They're two friends who are just doing what they love and doing a great job at it, the friendship is likely what makes this album (and other 6LA8 albums) so concise and fun to listen to.

With The Moderate Picture, the band mixes post-rock, drone, ambient and electronic music all into one gigantic, intense and epic ball of sound. The music definitely falls in the "unclassifiable" category as it makes leaps and bounces through so many genres of music that it's hard to think of anything like it that's been done before and for this reason alone it's very interesting music to hear.

One element that really makes this album worth hearing is all of the emotional audio clips that sound as if they've been taken from an old movie. Put together with the music they have that sort of Godspeed You Black Emperor effect that almost brings tears to my eyes.

A very interesting album from a very interesting Pakastani duo, I highly recommend it.
