4 stars One of, if not my favorite album in the last 25 years! I have only for brief moments taken this CD out of my player. The last album that I enjoyed this much was Leftoverture. Before that perhaps Led Zeppelin 4...

Stunning, absolutely stunning - especially the Keyboards. Brian Lake is simply astonishing on the keyboards. I look forward to seeing this band live. There simply is not a weak song on the album. From the first triumphal blast of Peace Among the Ruins, the album simply is one 46 minute high for this lover of 70's progressive rock. The sounds and the vibes from this album are just electrifying. and the album becomes more and more amazing with each listen. Great vocals, great Drums - even the bass player on occasions is permitted to cut loose and show his skills. Knowing the music of Metal Church, I would never have guessed that the player behind all those tasty, 70's style guitar licks was Kurt Vanderhoof. He plays far more melodic and disciplined, which makes the guitar a contributer, but not the main voice for this album. It is, quite frankly classy in every way. Highly Reccommended!!
