2 stars I must admit: this record does have the seventies prog sensitivities that are required when your aim is to recreate the past. Vintage sounds from Moog and Mellotron are evident on this album. The Roger Dean sleeve reveils their primary influence; Yes are never far away. The instrumentalists make a convincing stance here. And yet this record is too derivative for it's own good. It fails in coming to life. The ambition to recreate has taken over the will to create something new. It sounds too static, much like a museum that forgets to interest its audience.
