4 stars I can describe the music in one word to save you time - beauty. If you want 4 words - Beautiful work of art. The musis is pure and a genuine effort. L. Shankar's violin shines throughout, and the intricate melodies that he plays can sometimes melt your heart. The album has various moods. "come on baby dance " is a well-constructed song in the raga Kadanakuthoohalam of the Carnatic Music system. The album disappoints because it lasts only for 39 minutes. It has many beautiful phrases and some intricate subtle nuances that can be realised only with careful listening. The percussion is absolutely flawless. A great album for those who want to get introduced to Indian Classical Music, although it has many more elements. Also, a good lesson in improvisation, and melody. Also, a good demonstration of the lack of barriers in the so-called rigid music systems, and the infinty of music to the uninitiated.
