4 stars In 1978 it was hard to escape punk and disco drums. Luckliy 10cc breathed fresh air into the music scene with 'Bloody Tourists' It's a great album with plenty of jaunty harmonies in cleverly crafted songs which defy you not to sing along. In my opinion, Stewart and Gouldman (aided by, in some cases, Fenn and Tosh) penned some of the best ever 10cc classics here, which the band perform with gusto and technical expertise as always. It just seems to be one of the most consistantly solid albums of their career and even the least loved tracks like'Tokyo' and 'Old Mister time' are really enjoyable. The album's songs may be more accessible than the groups early stuff, but still one of a kind. Don't give up on this. It's a very nice record to spin anytime, rain or shine.
