4 stars Another masterpiece by David Bowie, modern music's chameleon who bent and manipulated the course of music once again. Low sees a new mixture of delicious styles, from pop and post punk on "Sound And Vision" to ambient jazz and classical with "Art Decade". Bowie and Eno's touches here are even better in many ways than on the "Heroes" album, especially on the second half. They use multiple synths, layered guitars, colliding vocals and twisted variations of instruments too, such as honky tonk piano on "Be My Wife" and harmonica on "New Town". Their creations definitely lent some inspiration to new wave music as well as some serious credence to exsisting artists too, like Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk. For these reasons alone, this is an excellent album to have and also very rewarding on repeated listens.
