![]() The music on this album is a mix of symphonic prog and trippy jazz. I have heard Novalis has been mentioned as a comparison and I am sure that is right. I have yet to discover Novalis. But Deja Vu does a pretty sophisticated blend of symph and jazz. A music which is normally referred to as kraut and kraut it is. Although on the very melodic end of the kraut scene. Long guitar solos and some sugary sweet melodies can be found on this album. Melody is the driving force on this album. A bit heavyness too and I guess this mostly was a live band which released this album to further that career. The music here is very good throughout. The lack of some killer tracks is the main fault with this album. Despite of that, this is a good album with a nice vintage 1970s vintage sound. Maybe it is far too commercial and melodic for the hardcore kraut fans, but it should appeal to those of you loving the vintage 1970s German sound. 3.5 stars
