5 stars Shame on me for initially giving this great album only four stars. It took me more than 10-15 times to get fully into its mood. Ok let me try one more time. The first two and the last two tracks have probably the most insane vocals ever in prog. The riffs emit a great mesmerizing sensation which i haven't seen in another album of this genre. They are quite technical but not very technical. However, at no time you wil catch yourself pondering that some parts could have been performed in more complex manners. The rest of the tracks are instrumental. 3 and 8 are based on acoustic guitars. no3 features my favorite acoustic guitar ever with one of the darkest melodies i have ever had the luck to witness. Tracks from 4 to 7 are a forge of classical music with metal and they are simply the best classical music i have ever heard. Coherent, dramatic, mesmerising, intense they can only be appreciated by true prog metalheads and other insane personalities. Those who who think that prog cant be dark and brooding should try this stunning album and remain speechless.
