2 stars Grobschnitt followed up their debut album with Ballermann, this album. The music is something between symph prog, eclectic & krautrock. The vocals distorted. The instrumentation heavy on Hammond organ and bass. Drums and guitars are also included.

The sound is not that good and I also question the wisdom of including the comedy vocals here. The guitarist also blatantly rip off Steve Howe on far too many places for this to be an accident. The music is also everywhere at the same time and lacks a bit direction. The band seems a bit rudderless when recording this album and it shows. I am not sure what the band wanted with and from Ballermann.

The music is OK, but nothing more. This album feels a bit lost to me.
