Kingsnake
3 stars Already a masterpiece.

The warm and soothing voice of Yogi Lang never sounded better.

This is a conceptalbum. The first conceptalbum of this band. I really like the keyboardsolo's, wich sound like they are played by Manfred Mann. Also the songstructures remind me of Mick Rogers-era Manfred Mann.

Of course, you can still here the Pink Floyd-influences. But RPWL really matured on this record. More and more they sound like themselves.

The progressive rock of RPWL always had and will always have a lot of Spacerock-like elements. They sometimes remind me of Eloy or The Sky Moves Sideways-era Porcupine Tree.

This is the first real studio album in this line-up, and they sound tighter than ever.
