4 stars This album was leaked a few weeks ago. I go this and i was extremely excited to play it after waiting for soooooooo long. Believe me, it was well worth the wait! the minute i pressed play there was a huge smile that went across my face from beginning to end on this marvelous LP.

From the opening song, "The whip hands" to the roller coster ride that is almost a memory to the last two albums. "Dyslexicon" through the slow paced songs like "Empty vessels make the loudest sound" and "Imago" and "Aegis", the crawl of the "Malkin jewel" the tasty sexy jam of "Lapochka" to sad feeling of "in absentia" to the massive "classic sound of tmv" of the song "Molochwalker", to the acoustic ambient "Trinkets pale of moon" to the spacelike "vedamalady" through the title track and on to the athematic outro of "Zed and Two naughts"......................................This album is by far one of the best Mars Volta albums!

Those who are familiar with the work of this great band, will not be disappointed by this album!
