4 stars I learned about this album when it came out in the mid-seventies. At that time, I thought the concept was great and I listened to that record many many times. And I enjoyed it greatly: well sung, very well played, a good concept. It is offering a great sound, a good production, very good for a seventies album. I remember being overwhelmed by the sound, especially when I played the album very loud. I gave it four stars, the lesser points being the German accent and the feeling of 'where have I heard this before'. Nevertheless, it's a great album and an essential piece in one's collection. Thirty years later, I still have the same feeling about the album, but I think it's a little passé now. I would like to know the opinion of a seventies prog rock adept who hears this album for the first time, without reading about it first. My opinion is, of course, influenced by nostalgia. But it's still excellent seventies music, worth having in your collection, and still four stars!
