IMHO it is absolutely the best Fripp's solo album. Listening to "Gates..." is a very strong experience, going far beyond the bounds of "music" or "esthetics". I know it is like that with every great music, but this case is really special. Not to be listened very often, perhaps; but also absolutely uncomparable to anything.
