5 stars Although I've been a prog listener for only a few years now, and having only introduced myself to a few of the many excellent artists of the genre, I have to say this record is perhaps the best progressive album I've listened. Being a fan of three of the bands the members of this one come from, it's easier for me to be fond of the band Transatlantic, so I'm not starting from square one while reviewing an album like this. But in comparison with many of the good modern prog-rock acts (including the flower kings, spock's beard, etc, artists featured in this record), Transatlantic as a "supergropup" as its often called, still manages to bring something new and incredibly interesting to the present stage of the genre. Each of the members showcasing not only their virtuosic skills as instrumentalists, but also their ability of working as a band and bringing their own visions to the final stage, is just something to admire. Heh, and someone here critisized Mike Portony for singing... well, I have to say I just loved it, I loved each of the members having a few vocal leads. That kind of opening always brings a sence of lightness to it. Comparing to the debyt of Transatlantic, "Bridge across forever" is in every way even more wonderful to listen, and more coherent. Simply a great album =)
