A very decent effort of the decimated crew to perform even the songs of the the 4-member first album live on stage - at that, they're excelling here. Nevertheless they fall slightly short of the studio versions, and understandably so as the titles are mind-boggingly intricate and demanding. Most obvious is the missing guitar work by Allan Holdsworth; he'S just irreplacable.

But you would never buy this INSTEAD of the studio albums, but in addition to them. This CD showcases quite a different aspect of the band, and the musical virtuosity displayed is stunning. Still a gem.
