RUSH

Though this isn't prog (and probably not even prog-related), I'm still compelled to review this as this was the first album that birthed me into the Rush world. This is the early Rush sound at its finest; the guitars are the prominent instrument, Geddy's vocals are at their best, and the music doesn't stray away from the heaviness that makes this period so great. The only missing piece is Neil's drumming, but Rutsey does a fine job given that the music isn't terribly complex in the first place. The songs are nothing special. Most of them have a heavy Sabbath and Zeppelin sound with plenty of blues and metal mixed in.

I wouldn't recommend the album on this site, but it is decent if you want to hear early Rush, or if you just want a good plain Rock album.
