4 stars After Trilogy ELP continued with successful formula; here we have the album which structurally follows its predecessor in a sense that we have two beautiful melody tracks, the opener 'Jerusalem' and Lake's ballad 'Still....You Turn Me On' and the rest more progressive material like 'Toccata' and 'Karn Evil 9' with its impressions.Of course that there is 'Benny The Bouncer' which keeps tradition of 'Are You Ready Eddie?' and 'The Sheriff'. Nevertheless, this is nice album containing some real prog highlights; my personal favourite is 'Toccata' which brings strong and balanced participation of each band member, with particularly impressive Palmer's drumming. Also 'Karn Evil 9' 1st Impression-part2 and 3rd Impression I would count to the highlights of the album. Really, when you find out that listening to this album, even after thirty three years, your'e able to say that some songs still turn you on, it's a clear sign of good and lasting music material. However, after this release ELP's inspiration has somehow faded . Albums which followed weren't even close to the quality of this one and the magic was gone.
