4 stars Definitely outstanding!! Compared to other DVD releases such as "The Art in heaven concert" or "Tubular Bells 2+3" (both are almost perfect from a technical point of view) this one here is a real diamond and much more better in musical terms. Total outstanding performance, with an emotional MO at his best.

Performed almost perfectly, it shows MO at the height of his success in the 1980ies. The very same personell will also be featured at the following "Five miles out". The songs are performed by the stripped-down team that was the core of MOs touring band between 1980 and 1982: Tim Cross on keyboards and vocoder, Morris Pert on percussion and keyboard, Mike Frye on percussion, Rick Fenn on bass and guitar and Maggy Reilly doing vocals. This reduced line-up created a much heavier sound than e.g. during the Exposed in 1979 or TBII tours in 1992, when the sound was a more orchestral one.

The most interesting thing to me was the early scetch of Taurus II, which was featured with real lyrics in the later "Five Miles Out". Here, it is combined with Taurus I from QE2 and shows how close both songs actually are.

The only annoying thing is Maggie Reilly´s appreance. Although her voice is absolut brilliant and she manages to get the right tone all the time, her face shows absolutely no movement. No touch, no sign of emotion at all.

Although not perfect from a technical standpoint (picture quality), the concert is a real highlight and every MO fan should have this one. Highly recommended.
