3 stars Second album of Parallaxe from 2007 named Soundtrack is in same direction as previous one, same instrumental progressive metal meets jazz fusion parts, the result is ok, the musicianship is great, but again something is lacking in overall sound. Complicated passages, with twists and turns, good druming, top notch guitar playing, and that's it. The album is divided in 3 parts, opening track being first, and then to long tracks, the second Sacre being hte best, 20 minutes of pure bliss, sometimes thay are great in arrangements, sometimes are only ok. This is as good as their first opus, no better no worse. 3 stars again, maybe 3.5 in places. Both albums worth to be investigated , being in same cathegory as LTE or Planet X, but I prefere these two bands more then Parallaxe.
