4 stars This is basically a live compilation of what I consider to be some of his best songs from his early albums. It mostly consists of melodic instrumentals (which is good since Steve's vocals lack energy). The sound is basically melodic lead guitar or flute playing over a bed of atmospheric keyboards. It's a great sound, but I must admit, the lack of variety starts to wear me down about 2/3 of the way through. It would've been nice if the album contained some acoustic tracks to break up the monotony. But overall, it is my favorite Hackett album simply because it doesn't contain the weaker tracks from his albums ( the only exception is the poppish "Hope I Don't Wake").
