5 stars Not the most technical of most progressive of Devin's albmus, but an excellent album, with superb riffs and certainly very cohesive.

Accoustic intro Let It Roll puts you just in the mood you have to be for Hypergeek - Triumph - Babysong, three very heavy songs with superb drumming, excellent progressions and nice vocals by the Dev.

Vampolka and Vampira show a great mix of styles, with a "metal polka" that comes out very well balanced, and very catchy.

Then, after the cooler Mental Tan, Gaia, Pixilate, Judegement and A Simple Lullbay form the second big part of the album, with again great mixture of styles à la Devin, some rough metal moments, and very little repetition, which we tend to see too often when there's a very catchy riff (watch out for Pixilate!!!). After Pixilate, you'll feel like the album has just taken another turn... masterful.

After the Sunset, Notes From Africa closes with again some extremely original stuff. Bonus track in my version, bought in France. Fun.

To sum it up. VERY original, almost never seen before, even in Devin's own work. A real masterpiece.

Now there's " Why don't you have a baby, why don't you have a child..." stuck in my head. You'll have that too if you buy this, remember me...
