5 stars I have this album on vinyl which I purchased in 1982 when it was released. It is still in it's original plastic wrap. My copy came with a bonus disc which to me features some of the band's finest work. "Princess Of The Universe", is a hard pounding, straight-forward rocker. The closing number on the bonus disc is "Chapter And Verse", which to me accentuates the great songwriting ability of Rundgren!!! Rundgren let's us all know that there is more to his music than just sappy ballads. The final verse of the song is as follows:

"I've got a million choices in my head, but there can never be enough to say it all. I know you don't wanna hear the same old line, so you'll just have to read the writing on the wall."

In my opinion, Todd Rundgren has a lot of writing similarities to John Lennon. You have to read between the lines in his music. This is what makes a great artist.

I wonder why this bonus disc on the Utopia album has not been mentioned. I know that I cannot possibly have anything that is rare because I have a concert video that the group released in 1983 that includes some of the songs from this disc.

I'd like to hear some more feedback from fans who have the bonus disc.
