3 stars Surgery from Germany is one of those obscure bands who released one album in 1980 and then gone into oblivion, untill famous Garden of delights label re issue the album in 2010. Offering a kind of jazz rock with sax and strong guitar playing, Surgery was never able to cross the status of local band, being unknown even in Germany. The album named Ubermorgen having a very colorfull strange cover art is a good release, but they came little to late for such music, in 1980 this kind of style very much in vein of Missus Beastly or Thirsty Moon, that typical krautisch jazz rock was no more of an intrestet to many listners. Anyway, some good towards great passages here, with guitar and sax dominating the parts and aswell some nice piano passages. Pieces like Pisa, Adio GF or Vurz im Morgengrauen are real pleasure to listen. All in all a forgotten little band and album, 3 stars from me, good but no groudbreaking moments. The re issue has 10 bonus tracks who are ok, aswell some large booklet came with the album. Decent but is yet no spectacular.
