5 stars There is a reason why this was a huge commercial succes right before A Passion Play would atracted every aspect there was to people who didnt exactly liked Tull and wanted a opportunity to show it of.

I wouldnt made a review of this album until seeing it in a vynil store. The album is absolutely gorgeous. Already in 1972, the band had so much history and recorded so much material (of great quality, important to say) and the album so much honour this recent past that the simple name of a single "Living in the Past" came almost as a concept to the whole work.

The fact that the collection of singles in nice and right position, together with two moments of great live presentations refers to a period more stable to Gelnn Cornick's era in Jethro Tull, we have as well a sample of Aqualung and the bridge EP between Aqualung and Thick as a Brick that is the masterpiece "Life's a long song". The atmosphere created, at least for a 21th centhuty fan is absolutley groundbreaking, a album that its perhaps one of the most must have's besides the studio albums. For a contemporary fan, who spend money (and there mustnt be few) in a great vynil, with gorgeous jacket for a record that compiles all the singles he may be missed, showing a band that was hiding backstage and now fully develops right before his eyes (ears), respecting all the (then) 7 members of Jethro Tull... well, my friends... that impact, its a whole 5 stars.
