5 stars I always liked this album from the start. Apart from some real percussions (played by Morris Pert) it is a true synth album. If you expect some of those clinical 80s sounds then fortunately you will be disappointed: All the keyboards are analogue synths and seem to be played in real time without a sequencer. Accompanied by a drum machine (analogue again) the compositions are progressive and diversified, whereby the whole album appears to be very compact. Anthony Phillips proves with this masterpiece that he is an exceptional musician.
