3 stars Good, why not?

Okay, i have just reviewed and EP, now it`s time of a compillation. And in this case my review will be shorter (i think) because i wont review track by track, only mention them and say a bit about them. This compillation was the first "the best of" that Iconoclasta has released, the title of this is "Siete Aņos" (seven years) so you can imagine that it`s kind of a tribute to their first years, by then, Iconoclasta, Reminiscencias, Soliloquio had been released along with an EP called Suite Mexicana, the first album was released in 1983, but the band had been playing since 1981, that`s why the title of Siete Aņos, and what can we listen here?

5 songs, one per studio album and a couple of songs from the EP. Those both songs from their EP have prehispanic and folkish sounds, something like a trip to Mexico with the essential sound of Iconoclasta`s guitars. Taken from their first album "Fuera de Casa" which is the last song of that album, and it`s excellent this is a clear example of their style and music it has something like 8 minutes of excellent sound. From "Reminiscencias" a part of the epic "Reminiscencias de un mundo sin futuro", being more specific the 4th part called "Un Grito en el Vacio" which is the only part which contains vocals, it`s pretty nice with a nice symphonic and jazz oriented sound. And from Soliloquio they taken 7:19, which is another great song, but with a similar style.

So if you wish to meet Iconoclasta`s music, without having an studio album, this is a nice alternative, a compillation of 5 great songs, i like it, the songs were well chosen but actually i think they have made better ones. 3 stars this time!
