VOTOMS
4 stars Almost at the same level as Tales From The Topographic Oceans (his previous work with Yes), Rick Wakeman (24) do the Journey To The Centre of The Earth. This album is a storytelling musical adaptation from the Jules Verne classic, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, and it's the kind of album that makes you excited and listen to the whole concert. A little bit over-the-top (okay, too damn pompous), but it's very good. The rock instrumentation and the epic classical theme are a great entertainment. It was overrated at time, but today it sounds hated by a legion of Yes fans. But it don't prevents me to listen to one of the best storytelling suites ever made.
