4 stars This is an official Bootleg, and at first glance, it would seem like just another show. however, it is COMPLETELY different to other live shows. It was one of the shows from 96, and this was the writing period for Falling Into Infinity. Therefore, this album contains Burning My Soul, Just Let Me Breathe, Lines in the Sand and Take Away My Pain in their original forms. Which are in my opinion better than the album. Also, Caught in a Web is modified quite heavily and added with what would become New Millenium. And for all the skeptics who think that Derek Sherinian had no place in the band, his performance is pretty flawless, I think. As far as downsides go, I think that the fact that there are about 4 points where the band cracks up and starts laughing, and its funny, but distracting. The album as a whole is awesome, but as a bass player I can't agree with Myung's tone on it, it was a prototype bass, but its just a pounding sound... I dont get it, and it lacks definition. This is one of my favorite official bootlegs, because can hear all the stuff from when the band was stuck in a rut, and it all ROCKS! I love this album as a bootleg. And its a total shift from something like Once in a Livetime, or Live at the Marquee.
