5 stars I finally picked up this CD last week...after giving up hope that it would be re-matered and expanded, etc.

I loved the LP back in the day...and I love it evem more now.

The opening track, "The Wizard", the title track (dedicaterd to friend, partner and mentor Chick Corea) and the Golden Dawn Suite (featuring Jaco on bass...) are three of the most inventive, exciting, gutar-driven jazz/rock recordings of the 70's.

The "filler" (if you want to call it that) is also terrific stuff...his interpretation of The Sarabande from Violin Sonata in B Minor is lovely and Love Theme from "Pictures of the Sea" is soothing and (thankfully) brief.

The CD finishes with a meandering, intriguing duet with Corea, "Short Tales of the Black Forest" which is acoustic...

An absolute masterpiece of fusion...*****
