2 stars I bought this DVD with high expectations but I was disappointed in two ways: first the running time of only 30 minutes and second the voice of Chris Farlowe, often hailed but it's not my cup of tea, a bit too theatrical. The sound of Atomic Rooster ranges from blues and hardrock to classical and jazz, very varied and dynamic. I have always been a fan of keyboard player Vincent Crane (author of the hit Fire by The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown) because of his unique, often very hot style featuring a very fast right hand playing soli and a left hand doing the bass runs. He turned out to be a real master of the Hammond organ, on this DVD you can watch some exciting footage It's recorded during a Belgian TV special in 1972, in the same year that also Genesis appeared on the Belgian TV, a big hand for our southern neighbours! Rating: 2,5 stars.

5 stars Another superb early-70's Belgian TV special (see the VdGG , Genesis, ELP or Pentangle broadcasts under this series named Master From The Vaults) that brings us a special treat: all five of the tracks from this broadcast are from my fave In Hearing Of album, but this time it is done with the line-up of the Made In England album (or almost), which gives us an absolutely must-have version of some of the Rooster's most moody and essential classic tracks. Indeed, what a joy to listen to Breakthrough or Black Snake with a world-class vocalist as Chris Farlowe. True, these guys were not a pretty sight and they could scare your little sister, but what do you care?? This unfortunately all-too-short broadcast is probably the only good footage you'll ever see of the Rooster, but this is just as essential as the BBC Live concert, although that one presents many tracks from the Made In England album?. So both are complementary. Eric, try this again!!!
