3 stars The main interest of this double CD, released by 'Cinevox' in 2002 is a Bonus CD of a 1979 live recording by 'Goblin'. The Italian band 'Goblin' was specialized in scoring film music mainly for Italian director Dario Argento and to a great part responsible for the scary athmosphere of his horror movies. The soundtracks for 'Profondo Rosso' and 'Suspiria' are outstanding masterpieces of 'Horror-Prog'. In 1978 Goblin releaserd 'Il Fantastico Viaggio Del Bagarozzo Mark' a non-soundtrack concept record. Contrary to the instrumental soundtracks the record contained a majority of vocal parts and to support the record 'Goblin' went on tour in 1979. The present recording comes from this tour and was obviously never thought to be released. The recording quality -apparently a soundbord recording- is decent, but has some technical flaws, the worst being one of the guitar jacks, that had a bad connection and brings the guitar either nearly out of the mix or buzzing wildly. On the concert programm are two tracks from 'Roller' , the main theme of 'Profondo Rosso' and a majority of tracks from the new record. Due to the technical flaws and maybe the fact that 'Goblin' wasn't used to play live the overall quality is not very good , especially compared to the original tracks. Still the playfullness of the musicians gives the music a fresh edge with some great solos.

A must for Goblin fans (being the only live recording) otherwise just get this double CD for the excellent compilation of soundtracks.
