POOR KAW LIGA´S PAIN

After the recording of "Stars and Hank Forever", THE RESIDENTS considered HANK WILLIAM´s cover of Kaw-Liga to have some commercial potential, and started to record some remixes to explore its viability. Among this remixes, appears a remix by THE MOODY BOYS (from the dance group KLF), the Housey Mix, in the first knwon cover of a THE RESIDENTS song ever, and also a live version that should have appeared in "The 13th Anniversary Show: Live in Holland" (in the CD version, it should appear before diskomo, thus showing the "commercial" side of their music.

While the original HANK WILLIAMS berates Kaw-liga for letting the girl go, The Residents' new song explores the horror of being an inanimate figure who can only stand and watch. But once you have listened to the original cover, this record doesn´t add much. The remixes are somewhat interesting, ranging form instrumental to dance to electronics, but the record as a whole does not worth buying it.

Just for those who want to complete their THE RESIDENTS discography (has anyone ever completed it? I am a great fan of them, but it is one of the hardest duties!)
