3 stars Delicious set for SBB fans!

Despite it show only unreleased material, and from various places/gigs, it's one of my favourite SBB albums. Released in 2006, it contains great stuff recorded from fall of 1973 two 1975.

Most important track is the title one - "Wicher w polu dmie" (Wind blows in a field). Almost 20-minutes jams, recorded about half year before the debut LP, shows very impressive skills of SBB. Impressive not only in Polish, but European range. Enigmatic drums and bass playing perfectly fits to the title and cover painting. But the main part are very extended solos of Apostolis on guitar, Janek Błędowski on violin and Skrzek on fuzzed bass.

There are also some 'poetical' works. Mahavishnu-like "Obraz po bitwie", with very nice Skrzek's singing, lyrical "Erotyk" (with Apostolis playing on guitar with bow) and long progrock suite "W samym środku nocy". Fans of prog-suites will surely like also the alternate version of "Z których krwi krew moja" (originaly recorded for "Pamięć" LP).

This CD capture various faces of SBB. "Dwie pogody, cz. II" is a slow, free-jazz jam between Skrzek and trumpeter Andrzej Przybielski. The "Cięcie" shows rather hard-rock face of group.

Recording ends with long encore from legendary Opole '74 concert. Famous Figo-Fago is a simple, yet very energetic blues-rock jam where Skrzek plays harmonica. Fine recording, however in 2009 the full Opole '74 concert was released so now this single live track (on pure studio album) seems to be unnecessary.

Still, whole album will be a great fun for any SBB fan.
